DECLIC takes a maintenance break to repair its electronic module

After 6 years of loyal service, DECLIC had to undergo maintenance.

In September 2014, after 6 years of loyal service, DECLIC had to come back down to Earth to undergo maintenance before going back into orbit. The science module returned to Earth in February 2015 on board the Dragon module of Flight SPX-5. The instrument was then transported to Toulouse and entrusted to its designer EREMS for examination.

The electronic module was repaired after a series of tests. DECLIC is scheduled to return to the ISS in late 2016 aboard OA-5 Cygnus.

DECLIC will be operational again  at the beginning of 2017 on board the ISS for the rest of the scientific programme!
